Morphe VS Real Techniques

Hey everyone!

So today I am going to be putting two very affordable brands together and deciding which I think is better. Although their both relatively cheap I thought it would be a fun idea to put them to the test against eachother.

MORPHE is generally an American brand, although can be purchased in the uk through sites such as BeautyBay & Cult Beauty.

Whereas Real Techniques is a uk brand that is sold in other countries due to its popularity.

What is better?

Honestly I think it’s a hard question as both brushes are high quality and at good prices. Although i must say I do feel like MORPHE brushes are a bit more pleasant to like at and feel more high end. The actual brush itself though both are very soft but I do find myself reaching for both sets of brushes?

If you could only have one brand, what would you choose?

MORPHE, I feel like they have a lot more range and types. Eg: there is more than one foundation brush that is high quality. Real techniques do offer several foundation brushes I find their buffing brush is the only one that gives that flawless finish with no streak lines.

Both brands are great and I would recommend both to anyone!

Kiko Nail Polish: Review

Hi everyone!

I am a lover of kiko, they are affordable yet very high quality. Today I am going to be discussing the nail polishes with you.

Their nail polishes are not that well known but I think they should be as they are hands down the best nail polishes I’ve ever tried!

KIKO is known for their affordable but high quality makeup. Which by the way is incredible!

Anyway I have 3 shades in my collection, they don’t have shade names/numbers on them but one is a deep blue, another a minty blue and the last a forest green.

First impressions:

When first coat put on (with or without base coat) the colour is muted than what it displays on the packaging, but I found when I went in for a second coat it began looking like the displayed colour. They dry faster than the average nail polish, which was really pleasing as I am not patient to wait for it to dry and it usually chips! This is very hard to chip. It’s lasting power without chips, depending on what your doing ranges from about 2-5 days which is pretty standard. It applies evenly to the nail and looks gorgeous!

Final review!

Overall I would say these are one of the best nail varnishes I have tried and will continue to purchase more colours!

Morphe brushes: worth the hype?

Hey everyone!

First off sorry for my absence, I haven’t had a chance to sit down and write recently but I am back and I will make it up to you!

Anyway today I am reviewing MORPHE brushes, they are one of the most affordable yet quality brushes out there and are rated better than the rest. I wanted to test this out. I went into beauty bay and picked out this 6 peice deluxe set of brushes. They have very long handles which is handy and are so beautiful and soft. This is a contouring set but I have found they are very multi purpose.

Set 690; deluxe brushes

You get 6 brushes in this set all aimed at sculpting the face. You get 3 larger brushes and 3 smaller brushes to target all areas. All though I have found the smaller ones are perfect for eyeshadow. The round buffer brush, they do not have names but it is basically what this certain brush from the set is, blends in my foundation perfectly.

They all have different densitys which mean no brush is exactly the same. They blend product in effortlessly and I am so excited to pick up more as I am very impressed.

They are an affordable brand and so far none of their products have failed me.

Have you tried anything from Morphe? What are your thoughts?

Drugstore essentials: repurchase

Hey everyone!

So recently I had run out of my 3 products from the drugstore that I use daily and to me they are essential to my makeup routine!

Foundation, concealer& powder.

These are my personal Favorites from the drugstore and I wanted to share them with you!

First is a foundation I have used for almost a year, it is the match perfection by Rimmel. This foundation is so light weight and skin like, I love it! It looks like I have no foundation on and product goes on flawlessly on top. It has a fair amount of shades for the drugstore. Although they have recently re formulated it so I will get back to you all on if I think it’s better or worse than before!

Next is a concealer, this is my ride or die concealer of all time! I love it! I am on my third tube of it now, it is very brightening without having glitter or shimmer to it. It is a little bit dewy but once you powder it it’s fine. It’s not to pink or yellow toned (mine is in the shade 15) although the shade range for this is pretty poor, I wish they came out with more shades because I think everyone would love this!

Lastly is powder, if your oily like me you know, this is essential! It keeps you matte all day and adds a little bit more coverage I find, although mine is in a colour but you can get it in transparent. The shade range for this is decent although nothing for darker skin tones. It doesn’t cake up on my face throughout the day and most importantly keeps my makeup in place.

I GOT THE MORPHE 35O

Hey guys!

So the MORPHE 35o is one of the most talked about products in the makeup industry and I finally managed to get my hands on it!

I live in the uk so I had to order it from America on the actual MORPHE website, was not available on beauty bay. It took 2 weeks to come but what I didn’t know is you have to pay a customs charge? I had to pay £11 just to get it out of the sorting office.
But anyway it is the most beautiful thing I think I’ve ever owned. It has so many different shades of glitters and mattes I can’t wait to try it out!
Do you have this? What do you think of it?

Spring Beauty Haul!

Hey everyone! So today I’m here with another haul! This one is a smaller one but I still wanted to share what I got with you!

First up is the majority of the bits which are from Kiko. I have only ever owned a nail polish from this store before but I went in to see what else they have. First I purchased their Ultimate Pen Long wear Eyeliner. This has such a fine tip which would be good for a precise wing. It’s also very black so I am very excited to try this!

Next is two nail polishes. I have recently owned a nail polish which I really love, it stays on for along time with no chips.I got them in the shade 343 and 335, which are both beautiful shades!

Finally is something more in the skin care catogory, Liz Earle is a very well known and popular brand amongst the beauty community. Her cleanse and polish is highly raved about, therefore making me want to try it. I will give it a go and let you know if it’s worth the hype.

Dirty Works Porefect face scrub review!

Hey everyone!

Today I’m going to do a post on something in the skincare range rather than makeup. I think we all know that skin care is so important to our routine!

So recently I picked up this face exfoliator from sainsburys for £5

Product claims:

Honestly I agree with all of this. My skin feels so much lighter after exfoliating with this product and also looks radiant. It does not look oily in the slightest it just looks healthy and glowing. My skin feel so smooth and honestly ever since I’ve been using this my skin has looked so much better.

Ever since my allergic reaction from Mac , read about that Here, my skin has gotten dry and flakey and I was in desperate need of a product to restore it. This product is just what I needed.

It leaves your skin radiant and fresh and they do plenty of exfoliates if for instance you suffered with spots they do one to target spots and so on.

Empties&Final Thoughts!

Hey everyone!

So today I’m doing an empties post for you of the makeup products I’ve recently used up! Anyway let’s just get into the post

IMG_0004
First is my holy grail concealer! The Maybelline Fit Me in 15. I already have re purchased this as it is my Favorite concealer of all time! It’s so high coverage whilst still feeling light on your skin. It doesn’t cake on your face although it will crease if you don’t set it! Another thing about this is it gives you a nice radiant glow! I adore this product and would recommend to all of you reading!

20140429-125241The next product is another holy grail of mine, if you have been following me for a while you will know I constantly rave about this! It is the No7 Lash Impact Intense Volume control Mascara! It gives you that natural lash effect, no clumps. It columnists and lengthens and I feel like this mascara is so underrated and I would strongly recommend it to anyone! I have already re purchased another tube!

Last up is another mascara! This one is the Maybelline Lash Sensational ! I used this up a while ago but kept it for this post. It’s such a lovely mascara and is so black! It really keeps the curl in your lashes and is a very definite black! It does not clump but volumises and lengthens! Although I have not repurchased as I prefer my No7 mascara, although I do want to try it again!
That is all for today’s post! Sorry it was short! I will be back next with, hopefully with a haul as i am going on two shopping trips!
